LAUREL, De- Delaware State Police have arrested 21-year-old Emma Brewington of Millsboro for allegedly sending explicit photographs to a 16-year-old student at Laurel High School.
The arrest follows a report received on October 16, 2023, from Laurel High School, prompting a month-long investigation by Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit. Detectives discovered that Brewington and the student had been communicating electronically since September, with explicit messages and photographs exchanged until the parent reported the relationship to the school.
On November 14, detectives obtained an arrest warrant, leading to Brewington turning herself in at Troop 4 on November 16, 2023. She now faces charges, including providing obscene material to a person under the age of 18 (Felony). Brewington was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 4 and released on her own recognizance
