LEWES, Del. - People who live in and visit Lewes can expect to see crews working around the city this summer as the Lewes maintenance team takes on a range of roadway and parking lot projects.

According to city officials, the maintenance work will include curb painting, roadway striping and general upkeep of streets, alleys and public parking areas. The goal is to improve safety, appearance and accessibility during the busy tourist season.

Work is scheduled, weather permitting, on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. This timing is designed to minimize disruptions and protect maintenance crews from the hottest part of the day.

"We appreciate your patience as our Maintenance staff works to maintain the safety, appearance, and accessibility of our public spaces." said the city.

Anyone with questions or concerns about the projects can contact Lewes City Hall by calling 302-645-7777.
