OCEAN CITY, Md. — The Maryland State Firefighters Association gathered to kick off its annual convention and conference at the Ocean City Convention Center.
According to the MSFA, the event provides training and educational sessions for its membership. The MSFA says its mission is to “serve, promote, advocate, and represent the interest of the volunteer fire, rescue, and emergency medical services of Maryland.”
On Monday, June 16, the opening ceremony took place. During the event, various performances hit the stage, including the Fire Brigade Pipes and Drums. Multiple exhibits were also on display.

“When the crowd gets involved and they, you know, you can see that they're enjoying it and getting involved, that's what's fun,” said Kimberly Webb of the Fire Brigade Pipes and Drums.
On Wednesday, June 18, the MSFA 2025 Parade will take place. The parade route is set between 16th & 30th Street on Baltimore Avenue. That same day, there will be an awarding of parade prizes and trophies at the Convention Center Dockside.
