SALISBURY, Md – A Fruitland man is facing three counts of impersonating a police officer after turning himself in on Thursday at the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack. 24 year old Isaiah Elsey allegedly would drive a Ford Crown Victoria, which had no police markings on it, in the area of Ocean Highway and Zion Road in Salisbury.
State Police say he would use red and blue emergency lights to move traffic out his way. He is also alleged to have attempted to make traffic stops in that area. Elsey was processed at the Salisbury Barrack and released.
Through interviewing witnesses and monitoring social media posts describing the incidents, troopers were able to identify Elsey as a suspect in the case. Investigators believe there may be additional victims associated with this case.
