ASSATEAGUE ISLAND, Md. - Assateague Island National Seashore unveiled the installation of a litter station at the North Beach parking lot.

Dylan Maine of Boy Scout Salisbury Troop 817 proposed, designed and installed the station for a boy scout project. The volunteer effort helped Maine fulfill requirements for the National Park Service Scout Ranger Program.

The park encourages beachgoers to use the litter station tools during future visits to help protect the shoreline and wildlife habitat.
