Police say the man pictured here hurt an officer while resisting arrest.

OCEAN CITY, Md. — The Ocean City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man they say injured an officer while resisting arrest. Police say the man is a possible suspect in a convenience store robbery.

According to police, officers stopped the possible suspect around 11:19 p.m. July 3. They say the man resisted and caused an injury to an Ocean City Police officer before running north on Coastal Highway near 120th Street.

The man was last seen near 120th Street.

The man is described as a white man, about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with an average build and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a gray short-sleeve shirt with a University of South Carolina Gamecocks emblem and the word “Football” below it, light-colored shorts and carrying a black backpack.

OCPD say the man was wearing this shirt before running away.
