Bicycle Master Plan

Milford to hold an open house for its Marshall Street Bike Path Striping Project.

MILFORD, Del. - Milford will soon hold an open house to give locals a chance to learn more about the city’s Marshall Street Bike Path Striping Project. The open house will give people a chance to learn about new bike lanes planned from South East Second Street to Watergate Boulevard South. According to the city, the proposed outline would have two travel lanes. It would also aim to keep parking on both sides of Marshall Street.

Earlier this year the city held a public workshop for people to provide their input on what should go into the revised 2011 Bicycle Master Plan. At the workshop they were able to review maps and outline their suggestions and ideas. The goal of the plan is to create a better way to connect downtown Milford with southern areas.

The open house will be held on Jan. 23 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. located at the Public Works Facility. People from the city will be available to answer questions during the open house.
