SALISBURY, Md. — On Monday, Dec. 4, at 8:03 p.m., Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and EMS responded to a pedestrian crash at S. Upper Ferry Road and Siloam Road.

The sheriff's office reports that the victim, Aaron Douglas III, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a medical facility. Douglas remains in critical condition.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene. According to the sheriff's office, witnesses provided a vehicle description, leading to its discovery by the Princess Anne Police Department. Police state the car has been seized for crime scene analysis.

The Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) and Criminal Investigation Division (CID) are investigating the crash. The sheriff's office reports a person of interest has been identified, and pending the investigation's outcome, charges are pending.
