REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - The City of Rehoboth Beach's annual fireworks display will launch around 9:30 p.m. on the evening of July 5, according to a post on the city's Facebook.
Due to the display, several roads will be closed and parking restrictions will be in place.
- 6 p.m.: The area around the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand will be closed to traffic.
- 7 p.m.: Only busses and residents will be permitted on Henlopen Avenue and Surf Avenue. Residents who live on Henlopen Avenue, in Henlope Acres and in North Shore must access their homes through 2nd Street.
- 7:30 p.m.: Cars will not be able to cross Rehoboth Avenue at the circle
- 8 p.m.: Rehoboth Avenue eastbound and Church Street from State Route 1 will be closed to traffic starting. At that point cars entering Rehoboth Beach will have drive through State Road to Bayard Avenue.

There will be no parking allowed on Surf Avenue, the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center parking lot, near the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand, Grenoble Place, Surfside Place and any marked spots in the ocean block of Laurel Street.
When leaving after the display, the city says cars north of Rehoboth Avenue will be directed to leave through Rehoboth Avenue and Columbia Avenue. Any cars south of Rehoboth Avenue will use Bayard Avenue to State Route 1 or Hickman Street and Munson Street to State Road to Route 1 to leave.
The Delaware Authority for Regional Transit will have a Park and Ride service available for the display. The pickup location for all bus routes after the fireworks is at the Henlopen Hotel. Event organizers are encouraging visitors to walk, bike and utilize DART's Park and Ride service.
