DelDOT unveils plans to enhance safety, traffic flow, and streetscape on Sussex Drive

According to DelDOT, the Sussex Drive Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) Project will focus on developing a concept design aimed at improving conditions for all who use Sussex Drive. This includes enhancing safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and improving the streetscape through landscaping.

The City of Lewes has been working on a bike plan with DelDOT since March 2023. The goal of this plan, according to the city, is to ensure that everyone who visits has access to a safe bicycle and pedestrian network, while also encouraging people to bike and walk more instead of drive.
