SEAFORD, Del. - The Delaware Department of Transportation has announced that Ross Station Road will be closing at the railroad crossing between Park Avenue and Conrail Road for Delmarva Central Railroad maintenance.
The department says the closure will begin at 5 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, and will require the full closure of the road. They say message boards will be put up in advance, letting drivers know about the impending closure.
The department will be offering the following detours:
Northbound: Ross Station Road to Conrail Road to Hearns Pond Road to Wesley Church Road to Atlanta Road back to Ross Station Road
Southbound: Ross Station Road to Atlanta Road to Wesley Church Road to Hearns Pond Road to Conrail Road back to Ross Station Road
The department says that the work is expected to be completed, along with detours lifted, by 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
