DEWEY BEACH, Del. - The annual Dewey Goes Pink 5k is set to begin at 11 A.M. on Saturday, October 7th. There are many safety precautions in place to keep the 4,000 participants, as well as spectators safe.
Dewey Beach Police will be on duty to help people cross the street, as well as patrol all corners to make sure cars do not try to drive down closed streets. Part of Route 1 will also be shut down for a short period of time for runners.
The town of Dewey Beach wants to keep everyone safe at this event. All proceeds go towards the Sussex County Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.
