Darnell Savage Interception

ARLINGTON, Texas - Seaford native Darnell Savage made the play that essentially sent the Green Bay Packers to the NFC Divisional round of the playoffs.
 
With Green Bay leading 20-0 against the Cowboys late in the second quarter, Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott threw a pass over the middle. Savage stepped in front of it for the interception and then raced 64 yards into the endzone for a touchdown and 27-0 Packer lead.
 
Savage grew up in Seaford, but when it came time for high school football, he enrolled at Caravel Academy in Bear. At the University of Maryland he was Second Team All-Big Ten in 2018. He was a first round draft pick by the Packers in 2019. In 5 NFL seasons, Savage has 9 career interceptions. The interception Sunday was his first in 5 playoff games.
 
Savage and the Packers will continue their playoff run this upcoming weekend against the 49ers.
