MILTON, Del. - Rep. Stell Parker Selby did not show up to Legislative Hall for the session Thursday. The District 20 representative also failed to attend the Delaware 20th Representative District Democratic Committee meeting April 17.
In a statement from Sussex County Republican Party Chairman, Daniel Willis, the party hopes that there will be transparency and communication from House majority leadership or Selby's office.

"As we approach the General Assembly’s upcoming two-week recess, we remain hopeful that Representative Parker Selby will be able to join the legislative session following the break," said Willis. "However, if no communication is provided to the public or her constituents regarding her status by that time, it will only deepen the concerns surrounding representation in the 20th District."
CoastTV spoke with Sue Nyden of the Sussex County Democratic Party. Nyden said that she has been in communication with Selby, but only through text and email.
Other Democrats said they are unsure when Selby will return to Legislative Hall. None of the individuals CoastTV spoke to reported speaking with her by phone — only through messages and emails.
At the Thursday, April 17, committee meeting, members read a letter from Selby in which she said she is "fine" and hopes to attend the next meeting. She said she is listening to her physicians and added that her office remains open for anyone who needs to contact her.
