GEORGETOWN, Del. - Spring and summer workshops are blooming once more with the Sussex Master Gardeners in Georgetown.
The workshops, beginning in May and ending in July, will be offered in-person at the Carvel Center in Georgetown, with two being available to be attended via Zoom. Workshop topics include an introduction for those who are new to Delaware's environment, from how to deal with invasive plant species to how to replace them with native plants, and more.
The workshop dates and times are as follows:
- Thursday, May 8, 1 p.m. - New to Delaware - In-person and Zoom
- Tuesday, May 20, 6:30 p.m. - Selection and Care of Trees for Small Properties - In-person and Zoom
- Thursday, June 5, 1 p.m. - From Patch to Plate: A Strawberry's Journey! - In-person in the garden
- Tuesday, June 17, 1 p.m. - Invasive Plants.....Not Our Friends - In-person only
- Tuesday, July 15, 6:30 p.m. Movie Night - Restoring Insects - In-person only
