The Rehoboth Beach Building and Licensing Department discussed the illegal use of basements

On October 10th, a Mayor and Commissioners meeting was held in Rehoboth Beach. A main focus in the meeting was the problem of converting basements illegally into living spaces. Corey Shinko, the Assistant Building Inspector for Rehoboth Beach, delivered a presentation about the issue.

According to the city, basements in Rehoboth Beach are usually six foot six in height, and are only meant for storage purposes, not to be converted into living spaces.
