Car crash

GEORGETOWN, Del.- Three people were hurt in a Sunday evening crash in Georgetown.

According to police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a Jeep, driven by a 22-year-old Selbyville man, crossed into another lane on Route 113 around 6:15 p.m. It hit another car driving in the same direction, causing the second car to spin and overturn in the median.

Delaware State Police told CoastTV News the second car's occupants, a woman and her 9- and 12-year-old children, were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Jeep driver was unhurt and was cited for failing to remain in a single lane as well as other traffic offenses.

Northbound Route 113 was closed for 45 minutes while the scene was investigated and cleared.
