LAUREL, Del. - The suspect in the Hollybrook Apartments shooting in Laurel turned himself in on Monday, October 2nd, according to Laurel Police Department.

The department says 25-year-old James Surratt, of Laurel, was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $132,500 cash bond.

Police say the shooting occurred sometime before 10:00 p.m. on September 27th, in the 400 building of the apartments.

Officers say the firearm used has not been recovered. They say he is wanted for three felonies and a misdemeanor.

Delaware State Police Aviation flew an 18-year-old woman to a trauma center for a gunshot wound to the chest in serious but stable condition.

A 21-year-old male suffered minor face injuries as a result of the incident.

Laurel PD says they had cleared the scene at 11:09 p.m.

In April, a shooting at the same complex resulted in one person being injured.
