SEAFORD, Del. -  Delaware State Police have identified the woman killed Sunday in a car accident at Middleford Road and Route 13 in Seaford as 74-year-old Anna Cannon.

Seaford Police say around 6 p.m. Sunday the accident resulted in the closure of both Northbound lanes and one Southbound lane of Route 13. The incident also impacted traffic on Middleford Road in both Westbound and Eastbound directions.

Police say around 4:15 p.m., a Cannon failed to stop at a red light and drove directly into the path of another car. She was taken to an area hospital by ambulance where she later died.

The driver of the other car, a 47-year-old woman from Seaford, and passengers were taken to an area hospital by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed for approximately three and a half hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.
