Wage increases

Delaware plans to increase minimum wage to $13.25 on Jan. 1. 2024 and $15 in 2025. In Maryland, Governor Wes Moore signed a bill accelerating the minimum wage increase to $15, which will take effect on New Year’s Day.

DELMARVA - More than 20 states will raise their minimum wage when the new year hits, including Maryland and Delaware.

Delaware plans to increase to $13.25 on Jan. 1. 2024 and $15 in 2025. The last increase was $10.50 to $11.75 on January 1, 2023.

In Maryland, Governor Wes Moore signed a bill accelerating the minimum wage increase to $15, which will take effect on New Year’s Day. The last increase was $12.50 to $13.25 on January 1, 2023.

The speed up in minimum wages is cited to have been caused by the raise in the cost of living.
