REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Water main work will take place on Laurel Street in Rehoboth Beach on Monday.
The city says this will happen between Bayard Avenue and Scarborough Avenue. The roadway will be closed to through traffic both Monday Sept. 25 and Tuesday Sept. 26, but accessible to people who live on that block of Laurel Street. Parking restrictions will be in place in areas of the block from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on workdays.
On Tuesday, a full water service shutdown will be implemented at 10 a.m. Water service is expected to be restored by 4 p.m. The city says hang tags were given to all homes that will be impacted by the shutdown.
Flaggers will be on site to assist residents with access to their homes. On Tuesday, all access to that block will be through Scarborough Ave.
