SALISBURY, Md - The Wicomico County Board of Education is beginning the process to find a replacement for retiring superintendent Dr. Donna Hanlin. Beginning at noon next Friday, January 14th, a survey will be available on the Board's website https://www.wcboe.org/ . The survey remain open until 5 p.m. on January 24.
The board is working with the Maryland Association of Boards of Education and is seeking input from staff, students, families, and the general public. Once that information has been reviewed, both boards will develop a plan to advertise for the superintendent position, develop interview questions, set a timeline for applications, and a timeline for interviews.
The Wicomico County Board of Education expects to have a final decision by early June. Dr. Hanlin is scheduled to retire on June 30, 2022.
