A young grey seal rescued from the Delaware coast in April is now back in the ocean after making a remarkable recovery from multiple serious health conditions.
A young gray seal that crossed four lanes of traffic in April had to be euthanized after rescuers discovered it had severe neurological damage.
Volunteers with the Marine Education, Research & Rehabilitation Institute had their hands full over the holiday weekend. The institute monitored a record number of seal visitors along Delaware's coast—including five seals spotted on local beaches Saturday alone, and a dolphin sighting as well.
