Clothing Our Kids says its first-ever “Stuff the Bus” donation drive brought in more than 2,100 new clothing items to support students across Sussex County.
DART’s 28th annual “Stuff the Bus” Thanksgiving Food Drive brought in over 22,000 pounds of food. Donations came from people across Delaware, including businesses, schools, organizations and state agencies.
The Delaware Transit Corporation launched its 28th annual “Stuff the Bus” Thanksgiving Food Drive this morning where they are aiming to collect 15,000 pounds of nonperishable food. The donations will help feed people who experience food insecurity across the state.
Dart began its Stuff the Bus event at the Rehoboth Beach Safeway and the Food Bank of Delaware held its first drive through pantry for the holiday season at Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown. The Dart event will collect donations that will help fill shelves at local pantries, including the Food Bank of Delaware.
For just this week, DART First State wants to fill its buses not with people, but food. They partner with the Food Bank of Delaware each year ahead of Thanksgiving to collect food for those in need.
