At 1 p.m. on Tuesday the Town of Ocean City listened to a pedicab franchise proposal from Deputy City Manager, Elton JR Harmon to bring pedicab services to the boardwalk. 

Ocean City is moving forward with a plan to launch a seasonal, app-based pedicab service on the Boardwalk, potentially replacing the discontinued tram route and improving accessibility for visitors and residents.

Ocean City announces it will host two simultaneous fireworks displays on Thursday, July 4. With these two celebrations, the Ocean City Police Department anticipates heavy car and pedestrian traffic throughout the Town of Ocean City.

The Ocean City Transportation Division experienced a revenue shortfall in April 2024, falling 20.2% below projections. All major services, including parking, buses, and trams, saw decreased usage compared to the same period last year.
