MILTON, Del. - A new DE Storage is coming to Milton. The Milton Town Council approved plans for the new unit to be built on Broadkill Road, off of Route 16. This new DE Storage will be located right next to the already existing Finish Line Self Storage facility. A third storage unit, by YourSpace, is being built just down the street near the intersection of Route 16 and Union Street.
People who live close to the site for the new DE Storage unit explained they actually prefer a storage unit to be built over new housing. Others, like Woody Woodis, who lives in Milton, are worried building more on Route 16 will worsen traffic.
"We need better traffic control and better roads," explained Woodis. "I would concentrate on that before I would put in additional housing and another storage unit."
At this time, there is no set date for when construction will begin.
