Army Corps recommends multi-million dollar beach nourishment for Mispillion Inlet

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is recommending a one-time beach nourishment project to help address long-term shoreline erosion north of Mispillion Inlet near Slaughter Beach.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District will participate in a virtual public meeting hosted by the Town of Slaughter Beach to discuss the Mispillion Inlet Shore Damages Mitigation Project and a proposed plan aimed at addressing long-term shoreline erosion north of the inlet.
