GEORGETOWN, Del. - Delaware State Police responded to a crash on Nov. 9 in Georgetown around 8:20 a.m. According to police, the crash happened on Shingle Point Road.
Police say a Toyota Tacoma, driven by a 28-year-old man from Millsboro, was driving northeast near Briarwood Road. At the same time, a 52-year-old from Milford was driving the silver Honda Civic. DSP says the Milford man was traveling southwest.
According to police, as the two cars approached each other on Shingle Point Road, a deer unexpectedly entered the path of the Toyota.
Unfortunately, Troopers say, the deer then crossed the Honda's path, resulting in a crash.
Troopers say the 52-year-old driver of the Honda was taken to an area hospital for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the roadway remained open with passing traffic during the crash investigation.
