THE PENINSULA, De- A deer that made its way to the center of a small pond in the Peninsula Development needed rescuing Monday morning. According to the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, two crew members went out on the pond in a small inflatable boat.
They were able to get the deer and bring it back to the shoreline. The deer was then wrapped in a blanket to make it warm and later released.
