Walk To End Alzheimer's Returns In Person With About 500 Walkers

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- Many people in purple participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Rehoboth Beach.

Each walker carried around a flower signifying their help in fighting to end the disease. About 500 people were expected to walk. There was also a walk from home option where families could donate and post pictures and videos of their walk.

Senior Walk Director Samantha Sayward says this disease affects many people in the region.

"In the Delaware Valley, the chapter for the Alzheimer’s Association, 480,000 residents are currently suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia," Sayward said. "So it impacts our communities. It impacts our businesses. So that’s why we are out here to raise funds to help."

The event is still in pursuit of its $182,000 goal. For information on how you can donate, head over to https://bit.ly/3zNXSAw.
