REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- The Rehoboth Avenue drawbridge is getting a maintenance makeover done by the Delaware Department of Transportation. This makeover consists of cleaning and painting the bridge's structural steel to prevent any corrosion said the City of Rehoboth Beach.
On Monday, April 7, a public meeting will be held at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, 229 Rehoboth Avenue, at 5 p.m. This meeting will consists of information on why the painting is needed, the project timeline, and how Rehoboth Avenue and Canal Street traffic patterns, as well as marine traffic, will be affected.
This process is expected to take about 10 weeks to be fully completed and will occur between October 2025 and April 2026.
