Firefighters respond to garage fire near Frankford

Firefighters responded to a commercial building fire Wednesday, March 26, near the intersection of Burbage and Jones roads. The call came in around 5:40 p.m., according to the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company. Crews from Millville, Dagsboro, Roxana and Bethany Beach also responded to assist. FRANKFORD, Del. - Firefighters responded to a commercial building fire Wednesday, March 26, near the intersection of Burbage and Jones roads. The call came in around 5:40 p.m., according to the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company. Crews from Millville, Dagsboro, Roxana and Bethany Beach also responded to assist.

When firefighters arrived, they found a garage fully engulfed in flames. Crews quickly brought the fire under control.

Officials say units were on scene for about an hour. The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office and the homeowner later took over the scene.

Officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
