Frankford crash

According to Delaware State Police, for reasons yet to be determined, the Chevrolet veered off the east edge of the road, crashing into the side of a nearby house.

FRANKFORD, Del. - A 75-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle accident Nov. 7 around 1:30 p.m. The 2018 Chevrolet Trax traveling northbound on Dupont Boulevard met with a devastating fate near Frankford Avenue.

According to Delaware State Police, for reasons yet to be determined, the Chevrolet veered off the east edge of the road, crashing into the side of a nearby house. The crash did not cause injuries to the occupants of the house.

The driver from Frankford, was rushed to a local hospital. She succumbed to her injuries later that night. Authorities are withholding her identity until her family is notified.

The Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit is actively investigating the incident. The roadway remained open to traffic throughout the investigation, minimizing disruptions for commuters.
