The election was originally scheduled for June 8, at the Millsboro Town Center. Two Town Council member seats for three year terms and one candidate for District one and District three are up for grabs.

MILLSBORO, Del.- The Town of Millsboro is hosting an open house to raise awareness about its comprehensive development plan. 

The plan serves as a roadmap to help guide growth in the town for the years to come. 

The Town of Millsboro ranks first out of 25 cities in Sussex County, the fastest growing County in Delaware, for residential growth based on the number of residential building permits issued in 2021. 

Town manager Jamie Burk said he has seen about 10-percent growth per year. 

"Even with COVID and a lot of the slowdown we've seen throughout the state and region and nation, we didn't see that here. Even with rising interest rates, we're not seeing slowing with housing market," he said.

The open house will take place Wednesday at Millsboro Town Hall at 6 p.m. You can sign up for public comment ahead of the meeting. More information can be found here.
