NEW YORK (AP) — Less than a month before it was due to close, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette announced Tuesday that it has found a buyer to keep the newspaper open.

The sale was made to a nonprofit digital news outlet, the Post-Gazette said in an article published on its website. The paper's owner, Block Communications Inc. of Toledo, Ohio, is selling to the Venetoulis Institute for Local Journalism, publisher of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Baltimore Banner.
