DELMARVA, Del. - In an effort to address the nation’s ongoing drug overdose crisis, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is once again holding its National Prescription Drug Take Back Day this Saturday, April 26.

The event is part of a nationwide initiative to prevent medication misuse and curb the opioid epidemic by encouraging the public to safely dispose of unneeded or expired prescription drugs. The DEA emphasizes that removing these medications from homes is a crucial step in preventing drug misuse and potential addiction before it starts.

Multiple law enforcement agencies across Delmarva will be participating, including the Milton Police Department, the Rehoboth Beach Police Department, and Maryland State Police barracks in Salisbury and Berlin.
