Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, crews will close the northbound lane of MD 12, near River Street, to begin roadwork.

GEORGETOWN, Del. - Trap Pond Road will be closed between Substation Road and Whaleys Corner Road starting on Friday through April 8, weather permitting. This comes as DelDOT looks to replace a crossroad pipe.

Detours for this roadwork include:

  • Motorists traveling south on East Trap Pond Road will need to turn right on Substation Road left on Georgetown Lewes Highway, left on Whaleys Corner Road back to East Trap Pond Road.
  • Drivers traveling north on East Trap Pond Road will turn left on Whaleys Corner Road, right on Georgetown Lewes Highway, right on Substation Road back to East Trap Pond Road.
