REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - The site of the former Royal Treat restaurant in Rehoboth Beach is set to be demolished later this year.
The Fornwalt family ran the breakfast and ice cream spot for 42 years, closing at the end of the 2022 summer season.
According to a representative of the family, Graulich Builders and John Macklin & Son will be handling the demolition.
The family representative says that the team will, "maintain best practices throughout the process and work to minimize disruption to the neighborhood as much as possible."
The statement from the family says the demolition is scheduled for the first half of December.
