ELLENDALE, Del. - At 7:48 a.m. Sunday, the Ellendale Fire Company was called to the scene of an accident at DuPont Boulevard.
Upon arrival, units found a pick up truck, that was involved in a police chase, had rear ended a work van at high rate of speed. This caused the truck to park inside the rear of the van.
Crews on the scene worked on stabilizing and securing the cars and treated patients on the scene. One person was taken to Bayhealth Medical Center, two others were treated and released at the scene.
The accident has been turned over to Delaware State Police for investigation.
An ambulance from Carlisle Fire Company, Sussex County EMS, and Trooper 2 from DSP Aviation Section were alerted to assist the accident.
