Troopers were called to the 27000 block of Paradise Street around 4:56 a.m. on April 21. According to investigators, an unknown man was seen entering unsecured cars in the neighborhood when three people confronted him.

GEORGETOWN, Del. - Delaware State Police are investigating an early morning assault on Monday in Georgetown that left two men hurt after they confronted a man accused of breaking into cars.

Troopers were called to the 27000 block of Paradise Street around 4:56 a.m. on April 21. According to investigators, an unknown man was seen entering unsecured cars in the neighborhood when three people confronted him. The man reportedly attacked two of them with a broken bottle before running to a nearby white Chevrolet van.

The victims attempted to restrain him, but the man escaped in the van, heading east on Homestead Road. A 39-year-old man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A second man, age 34, suffered minor injuries said DSP. The accused attacker is described as a Hispanic man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, last seen wearing dark clothing and white Nike sneakers. 

On April 20, state police had also reported to Paradise Street in Georgetown for a man who set his girlfriend on fire during an argument.
