Cell Tower

A 5G pole in Dewey Beach is only a few miles from where Verizon Wireless is asking to place one in Rehoboth Beach.

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Verizon Wireless is asking Sussex County to approve a special use exception to place a telecommunications tower in Rehoboth Beach.

The request will get another review at Monday night's Sussex County Board of Adjustment meeting. The property for the tower is 20338 Old Landing Road. It is just south of Betsy Ross Boulevard.

Verizon has installed towers in Dewey Beach and this year received a building permit for one in Milton.
