The state of Delaware is continuing its fight for cleaner water, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control is now soliciting proposals for its Community Water Quality Improvement Grants program.
The one-hour session begins at 10 a.m., and attendees may register up to the start of the event.
On June 13, the Nanticoke Tribe joined with the Delaware Center for the Inland Bay (CIB) to introduce plans for restoration at Thompson Island. The restoration will begin Fall 2024.
Living on the coast, like in Dewey Beach, offers beautiful views and access to beaches, but it also comes with the downside of flooding and erosion. The town experiences frequent flooding, particularly on Dagsworthy Street, bayside, during high tides and full moons, which disrupts daily life and business.
