The Milton Chamber of Commerce announced the festival will take place Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Milton Park.

A powerful winter storm brought howling winds, heavy snow, and widespread tree damage across Sussex County, prompting a Level 3 driving ban and leaving hundreds of hazards for crews to address.

Part of the project will add a new acceleration lane along southbound Rt. 1.

The Planning & Zoning Commission will review the application, hear public comment and consider recommendations before any final action.

Organizers say the Jan. 18 event in Milton will serve as another chance for people in Sussex County and nearby communities to come together in solidarity with law enforcement and to show compassion to the Snook family.

The proposal is now headed to the Milton Town Council for review.
