Governor Wes Moore announced Thursday that teams of Marylanders are aiding recovery efforts in the southeastern U.S. following Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

The Delmarva community is rallying once again to gather supplies for victims and volunteers affected by Hurricane Helene.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene generous people from all over the country are looking for ways to help. In Maryland the Worcester County Government is accepting donations that will ultimately be distributed to residents of McDowell County, North Carolina.

Delaware has deployed a Swift Water Rescue Team to North Carolina to assist in recovery efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. The state has also invested nearly $200,000 in water rescue equipment and training to improve its response capabilities for both in-state and out-of-state emergencies.

Multiple routes on Avelo Airlines are being seasonally suspended from Wilmington to destinations in Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Tennessee. 

The Ocean City Police Department says it has charged two people for an armed robbery that took place in June.
