A fire at the County Seat Apartments in Georgetown was caused by discarded smoking materials and contained quickly thanks to an automatic sprinkler system, according to the Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal.

The Worcester County Health Department is offering free classes to help youth and adults quit smoking and vaping this summer. Sessions begin in late June and early July, with in-person and virtual options available.

Officials in Rehoboth Beach are weighing the possibility of implementing an emergency curfew following a recent string of disturbances involving young adults.
