White Marlin

During the 2024 competition the White Marlin Open says over three thousand anglers competed, with a top prize award coming in at $3.7 million. 

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Known as the “World’s Largest Billfishing Tournament,” the 2025 White Marlin Open is returning to Ocean City. 

From Monday, Aug. 4 through Friday, Aug. 8, there will be five days of fishing, with registered boats selecting any three days to fish between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day. Daily weigh-ins will be held from 4 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. at Harbour Island Marina.

Registration will be held on Saturday, Aug. 2, at Harbour Island Marina in Ocean City from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. On that same day, registration will also be held at the South Jersey Marina in Cape May, New Jersey, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A final registration session is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 3, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Harbour Island Marina. New this year, the competition will feature an expanded Small Boat Division. 

Marlin Fest, a free public event featuring vendors, food, and live entertainment, will run daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Ocean City Inlet. During the 2024 competition, the White Marlin Open says over three thousand anglers competed, with a top prize award reaching $3.7 million.
