SUSSEX COUNTY, Del. – The Cape Henlopen School District has announced a series of administrative leadership changes set to take effect July 1.

The reorganization, approved by the Board of Education, includes the appointment of Dr. LouAnn Hudson as Assistant Superintendent. The district says Hudson previously served as Director of Teaching and Learning. District officials say Dr. Amanda Archambault will assume the role of Director of Teaching and Learning, having previously served as Supervisor of Elementary Education.

According to the district, Dr. Audrey Dempsey will assume a newly merged role as Supervisor of Elementary Education and Early Learning. The position combines two previously separate administrative posts that will focus on leading the Little Vikings early learning program.

Mr. David Frederick will serve as Athletics Administrator, a new position overseeing athletics at the middle and high school levels. He is currently principal of Frederick D. Thomas Middle School.

The district says Dr. Elizabeth Cherico has been appointed Principal of the Little Vikings PreK at the Sussex Consortium. She is currently an Assistant Principal at the Sussex Consortium.

According to officials, the Coordinator of Capital Projects position will be eliminated following the retirement of Mr. Seifert on June 30.

“This reorganization will streamline communication and is part of a broader effort to align district leadership with the evolving needs of the school community and to ensure all students have access to high-quality instruction and support,” said Cape Henlopen School District.
