Code Purple ending for the season, Tharros homeless encampment reopening delayed

After three months of providing shelter to the homeless during the winter, Code Purple at the Cape will come to a close on Saturday.
As featured on
Tharros, a "self governed" homeless encampment, will be in the hands of the Sussex County Council as Mike Agnew, site director for Code Purple at the Cape, files for a conditional land use permit to open the encampment again in Lewes. He originally planned to have it open by the time the shelters closed on Saturday, March 15.
