As Delaware students get ready to return to the classroom, teachers are preparing lessons, decorating rooms and welcoming a new year of learning. Meanwhile, state officials remind families that safety, both inside and outside of schools, remains a top priority. 

The City of Salisbury has partnered with Salisbury University to introduce a youth ambassador program focused on transportation safety. This initiative will train part-time and temporary city staff, who will educate high school and middle school students on safe walking, biking, and scooting.
