Delmarva enjoys the best weather day of the week today with sunshine, light conditions, and inland highs near 80, while coastal areas stay in the 60s. A back door cold front brings cooler air Friday with a slight chance for a few afternoon showers, followed by a dreary, damp, and cool Saturday with widespread rain. Conditions should begin to improve Sunday, with drier and milder weather returning early next week before the next rain chance arrives by midweek.

A strong cold front will turn late-night rain into a chilly, wind-whipped Thursday at the Sussex County beaches and in Ocean City, with only a brief chance for wet snow before precipitation ends.

A coastal low moving north from the Carolinas is bringing scattered showers, gusty northeast winds and dangerous surf conditions to the Delmarva Peninsula Tuesday. The system will weaken into Wednesday, followed by a cold front Friday and a stretch of dry, pleasant weather into the weekend and early next week.

The weekend has featured some incredible weather conditions for the holiday weekend so far. Memorial Day will remain warm and humid, but storms could bring trouble during the second half of the day.
